300- Editing

This is the movie 300. Despite this extract not having many cuts the editing is still very interesting. It has a lot of slow motion which exaggerates the uber killing power of Spartans. There are some cuts near the end of the clip which from close ups to over the shoulder shots of both king Leonidas and the Spartans and the enemy army. There is also a birds eye view shot down the cliff side to emphasize how greater fall it is. And there is a worms eye view for underneath the feet of the Persians as they are about to fall to create suspense about the impeding doom that becomes of them. This interests me as an editor because of the quick slow to regular motions this creates an amazing sense of how superior the Spartans are to the Persians in fighting ability with needing to say it.
